Because there is no reason to go for haswell when skylake is the same price.

Here is an almost identical parts list. Performance wise they should be equal. Notice the price difference?

The first Haswell list I submitted in this thread is by no means perfect, but I could get it to around the $2200 mark, unlike what is doable with Skylake.

Skylake is new. It will cost more.

Almost identical apart from the obvious higher spec/higher priced motherboard 9_9

Maybe you should try putting the Gaming 5 in instead.

You are correct, I made a mistake.

However the Skylake Gaming 5 is still pricier than the Haswell Gaming 5 board. So the argument still stands.

It is actually a couple of dollars cheaper if you take the rebate into account. The Haswell Gaming 5 is out of stock in the first link. Without the rebate it is about $13 more expensive, which is hardly a deal breaker.

This will kick ass at gaming for the next several years. If you want to save some $$, you can go down on the RAM amount, and swap that H110i for a H100i.

Its a bit over your budget. If you hold off on the screen until you have the money, it will be well worth your wait.

I swapped the GPU you had with a cheaper one with higher clock. Regardless of what you end up doing, I would recommend that one.

Get this one
