Definitely optical, only way to get a near flawless sensor. Lasers are good for tracking different surfaces but you should be using a decent mouse mat for gaming and thus controlling the surface to ensure good tracking or an optical sensor.

But while its true that no lasers are actually flawless its not true that all optical sensors are, infact up until pretty recently only a handful of mice models were actually any good for gaming and none of the mainstream gaming mice actually were. You have a long road of learning about sensors and the qualities of them if you want to take the red pill and actually find a good mouse.

Ok Ok so then whats the difference between the 3310 and 3360 optical sensors? Or is there one that is better then another?

The 3360 is lower latency and in some regards tracks better but it doesn't handle exceeding the failure speed the same, the 3310 deaccelerates in a graceful way whereas the 3360 behaves differently. I don't manage to get mine to failure speeds so the 3360 is just better for me.
