I want to put my PC on my desk but I want to make sure I have one of the more(or most) compact Mid Tower. What are my options?

I'd suggest (given that you haven't stated your budget for a case)

Fractal Design Define S/R5

Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ATX

NZXT S340

My friend didn't realize until today that his graphics card was worth $1000

EVOLV ATX is freaking massive. I said I wanted something exceptionally compact...

Actually, all three of the cases I suggested are pretty similar in size. They all have lengths of about 18-20 inches, and heights of about 18-20 inches. If you want "exceptionally small" then try micro ATX.

I have a case from cooler master that's been discontinued (mostly because it's laid out horribly) and it can take an ATX motherboard while measuring 350x145x440mm. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because it's got little to no cable management space and the PSU restricts graphics cards longer than 220mm. Here's a photo. That EVO? It's about an inch wider than the case, so I literally can't put the side panel on.

Here's the thing. Yes it's more compact than most ATX Mid-Towers (it's about as big as a micro-ATX mini-tower). But the compromises you have to make are big. You're giving a lot of comfort when it comes to working with the internals.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

The Silverstone FT05 is smaller than most ATX cases, though it is tall and you will have to give thought to PSU choice if you want to use 3.5" drives. There is also the LIan Li PC-A55, but short PSUs only, cooling looks a bit restricted, and it's Lian Li so a bit expensive.
