Eyeinity and multipule GPU's

Is it possible for one to create an eyefinity setup with 2 or more different AMD Cards not using crossfire. Say 2 monitors to a new GPU and a 3rd to an old GPU. If you cant devide the screens asymmetrically can you do a 1 to 1 GPU to monitor setup and still use eyefinity?
