I'd say check the GPU and CPU usage to see if anything strange is going on.

just ran a furmark burn in at 720p

My Core 2 duo 6300 was normal under gaming load

And the gpu [According to afterburner] was being used as normal

Did Furmark run normally? Is the issue restricted to just WoT?

Furmark ran at the norm for this particular card. at 20-10 fps. And yes it only dumps at WoT with gmod doing good [Mainly Because it runs off that HL2 Engine] And Killing floor doing fine

I meant if it ran everything else normally compared to the 8500GT -- not necessarily if it ran well. 

 

Oh, and what does "normal" mean in regards to the CPU and GPU usages?
