So the other day I upgraded the motherboard on my computer and re-installed windows 10 pro 64 bit and now I cant play games, like for example Civilization V opens up the menu to choose a load option I choose any option it just closes and does nothing. I have tried to contact microsoft support, but they don't help me they just try to sell me $150 worth of premium support.

Specs: AMD FX 8320

Gigabyte 970FXA UD3 R5 (New Mobo)

Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X

The old motherboard was a MSI 970a SLI Krait Edition

DirectX 12

hmm...

download Display Driver Uninstaller and this driver

then run DDU to uninstall your current gpu driver and install the driver i linked, see if this fixes the issue

It didn't work. I do sometimes get bluescreens, the most recent one said driver_corrupted_expool

check device manager to see if there are any missing drivers

100% Shire I have re downloaded everything multiple times and it still doesn't work.

try running your games with different compatibility?

right click game.exe -> properties -> compatibility -> change it to windows 7 or something

or try running the game as administrator
