So I have a rig like in the signature, with a MSI GTX 970 But recently the card broke and I'm taking it out for warranty at the moment, however it will take about 1 more months before I even know if I will get a new card or not. So... should I get another MSI GTX 970 in the mean time to play, and IF I got a new 970 due to warranty I can run SLI with it or if not I will still have 1 970, or should I wait for a 1070 regardless? (when will it come out anyway?)

And base on previous gens, how much do you think a GTX 970 will be able to sell for after 1070 come out?

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

i would just use my igpu while my gpu is gone `-`

sli gtx 970 is just not worth it imo

My iGPU in the 4770k barely able to run Gungeon at like 30-40 fps (and it feel really crappy too) and around 20-30fps on Rocket League lowest setting too so I kinda bumped about that... but 1070 will come so soon... >.<

You can buy a 760 or something for real cheap and then return it saying that you don't find the performance adequate or something like that.

i did the whole SLI with gtx 660's not bad tho did not see more performance with 2 cards in games. With my 970 i just got i can say now that it's 2 times better
(what i think) now with just the 1 card i just got the block & backplate for water cooling .as i love this card sure it's not a 980 ti mind blowing card but i will tell you now from a 2 generation bump the 970 is a great card. And lets face it Jayztwocents /Joker Productions .and others love the card it over clocks like a champ. For me personaaly id stick to the 1 970 you have. i have what you see in my own signature .

Keep it id say.

With that said i had the GTX 460 ,when i got the GTX 660 i again felt like it was twice the speed noticed instantly. Again a 2x gen bump. i was a happy camper .Yes in benching the results are better with 2 cards ,but not really worth having 2 GTX 970's unless you srsly know you will need .Next Gen cards are just around the corner .Waiting will also pay of as that gen cards- GTX 1070 (if it is called this) will perform better yes it's all up to you we can only say what personally know 1st hand.

Best of luck.
