I got a HP pavilion 15 'gaming' laptop and want to replace the optical drive with another SSD. The only thing is the laptop is curved on the edges so the actual optical bay is recessed around 2cm.

Would I be able to get a optical bay adapter and add the extension plastic to that?

Thanks in advance

If it's not meant to be replaced by the OEM then I'd suggest not experimenting unless you are comfortable taking the risks involved
