So i'm planning on upgrading my rig in about 2 months, right when summer break starts.

Considering i will only be doing gaming in 1080p and photoshop for the next 2-3 years, is getting an i5 6600 and an r9 380 4gb a good idea?

I'll also have to buy a new motherboard and new 650w psu with them, but except that i'll keep everything i have right now.(hdd,16gb ddr3 ram, case ,etc)

so yeah, is that cpu and video card good enough?will it be an upgrade that will still be 'viable' in about 2-3 years?

Still in USD, but I left it with plenty of head-room.

The i5-6500 is another good option for decent future-compatible gaming, but depending on whether or not you want to spend all of your budget, and also depending on how well the prices carry over to EU providers, you could still opt for the i5-6600.
