Huger response time when writing larger files

carrmatthew123

Sorry if this seems like a rookie question to ask but i just bought a new wd green hard drive and was slightly worried when i was moving all my video files over to it an saw that the response time was 1000ms is this normal when writing large amount of data continuously to the drive about 500gb of video files ranging from 2gb to 20gb in size or do i need to return the drive ?

an answer would greatly put my mind at ease thank you
