BB-8

As I'm sure everyone here knows of the BB-8 robotic toy that moves around and such on its own. What's the name of what it is? Like the official name instead of robotic sphere moving deal? And I'm curious as to if there's anything else like it. Thanks!

Sorry I actually meant I'm looking for something thats a robot that's "cute" but isn't BB-8

I'm pretty sure there is one, and i think you can find some in ToysRus xD. Because my uncle got one for his bday not too long ago

Yeah I know, one of my friends got one for Christmas and I was wondering if there was something that isn't a BB-8 but has the same idea of being a nice cute little robot that can keep me company while gaming or watching tv

The one that I have is the Sphero BB-8. The also do standard spheres.

I havn't gotten to mess around with it all that much as I got it for Christmas but didn't bring it to college with me. At that time it was essentially the same as a standard sphero with a star wars themed app but they have added more features since then. Now there is an app you can use to program it like you would a traditional robot, it can react based on the sounds of the Force Awakens, there are different emotes you can have it do. Only thing I noticed was that there is not enough friction on my hardwood floors for it to be able to track which was is forwards propperly (you set what direction you want forward to be in relation to you and sometimes when you turn BB-8s momentum causes him to over rotate, shifting the forward direction). I do believe there is a setting to make the controls work in relation to BB-8 instead of in relation to you. Over all it is a cool little toy and looks really cool even when you are not using it.
