I have right now a PC which was originally windows 7. I upgraded it to 10 a few months ago. Also my laptop is Windows 10.

But due to compatibility issues with a program i need for school i need to use anything than windows 10 on my laptop.

Is it possible to use the windows 7 key which is used on my PC as windows 10, on my laptop without any problems?

its not recommended if you're trying to use both machines together, microsoft might black list your product key

if its compatibility issue, right click the exe file, properties, compatibility and set it to the windows version there

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

It's not that easy :)

It's just because my teacher doesn't like windows 10... And if i need something from him he can't stand to use my laptop

Thanks though

Your Win7 key is now Win10 key. And you can't have two PCs activated with single key. You have two options. Use 30-day trial for school work and reinstall it as long as you need it, then go back to Win10. Or buy another cheap key just for Win7 (or Vista).
