So I'm in the planning process of my new PC build...ive spent the last 5 months planning mainly because this is the first time I'm building such high end PC and can't afford to mess-up.. hence my constant questions (PC part picker has been my best friend.)

So here's my build:

And my problem is on the SSD/HDD..

It has a Compability issue with my Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX LGA1151 MOBO that says:

The mobo m.2 slot shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATAN 6Gb/s ports are disabled...

Mainly what does this mean..how will it affect my drives performances if I decide to not heed this warning and go on...

How should I fix this (should I just get an ssd and no m.2 ssd[ I mainly just want the m.2 for bragging rights] ) ..

Or is there a better mobo I can get...don't wanna spend more than around 200 for a mobo

I've seen builds with an ssd, m.2 and an hdd.

my budget for both SSDs $220 minimum $400gb.

I am already set on the HDD..

It basically means, that ur motherboard will disable 2 SATA ports when u use the m.2 slot. U will be fine.

so I can still use a HDD, an ssd, and an M.2 without compromising any performance?

Great thanks...

But how do I know which SATA ports are connected to that M.2 slot? So I don't connect any drives to it?...will it be automated. Or will my mobo manual let me know?
