PROJECT X: A custom water-cooled PC inside a modded S340.

rowanhazard

Hello everyone, as the title suggests, I am doing a custom loop inside the NZXT S340. This build is going to have a blue/black color scheme, because I feel that red and black have really become way too popular.

The part list:

i5 4590

8gb HYPERX Fury

MSI Z97 PC Mate

XFX R9 390

240gb SSD

1tb HDD

Water-cooling parts:

EKWB XRES 140 Revo D5

Primochill tubing

EKWB 10/16 fittings-black nickel

EKWB Supremacy EVO copper-plexi

EKWB PE 240 RAD

Update number 1:

Just got all the parts :)

UPDATE #2

So, even though the NZXT website says that the S340 can accommodate up to a 64mm radiator, only a 39mm one can be realistically placed in the front. The 64mm number also includes fans. I just ordered another rad on amazon and it should be coming tomorrow. Here are some terrible photos:

I had to drill some holes in the top of the case as seen here because the screws were less than a millimeter to big and I didn't want to wait for the fan bracket adapter.

Here is the super tight bend I did from the CPU to the pump. ;)

Here it is, the pump and res are mounted horizontally (you can do that with a D5) Don't worry about the utterly terrible cable management and that random tube... Already connected it to the CPU and I'm just waiting for the rad.

Thanks for the follows and comments! Really appreciate it!!!

Update!

The pump/res is mounted, and has been leak tested.

I found two leaks while moving some tubes around and luckily caught them all!
