i didn't flush my new parts.

are yours second handed?

if you do need to flush it, use distilled water with alcohol or vinigar. the time for a flush is so short that the vinigar won't hurt anything. just run proper distilled water afterwards through the loop (to get rid of the remains an the horrible smell)

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect. But actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff."

Dont understimate my skillsz, you might look foolish.

I boil up a bunch of distilled water (and that is all) and fill my rads. Let them sit for 15 mins or so. Drain just a bit out and then shake em up, let fluid flow back and forth. Empty and watch for material coming out. If not clean, repeat. :)

Note - that is for new gear... on old gear, I will add a bit of vinegar to help get rid of the biocide that may be left from the coolant...

Are you sure that's advisable for nickel plated blocks?

There is a product called SysPrep from Primochill. I never used it, but it came for free with my primochill tubing. It is a small bottle of cleaner/treatment that you add to gallon of distilled and run through system for 12hours. They claim it is safe for every kind of block including nickel. Personally after careful consideration, and reading all kinds of information online decided not to mess around with cleaners and just flush my rads with distilled and do not pretreat nickel block. Just fill system with recommended premixed coolant with corrosion inhibitors and antimicrobial and call it a day.
