GTX 970 or less?

I am planning on buying a GTX 970 MSI. My intended use is for probably heavy gaming. GTA 5, BattleField Hardline etc. Preferably on high or ultra settings. If not 970 what else can I get? I am in the UK and prefer deals from the UK and delivery form UK. Thanks!

Same CPU. With a decent cooler you can bump it up to over 4Ghz

I was told that clocking to over 4 GHz is dangerous. Im fine with my 3.7 GHz. I have a corsair h50 liquid cooling

higher ghz wont hurt anything, higher voltages will.

1) cpu bottleneck is an issue if you pair an old cpu with a new gpu

2) AMD gpu have higher cpu overhead in DX11 games

 

an i5 750 can handle a gtx 960 at max, i suppose

i recommend going with a gtx 950 or gtx 960, i would get a gtx 950 personally, because cpu bottleneck is awful and produce stutters

dont get an r9 380 due to AMD having higher cpu overhead in DX11 games

 

this is all assuming you wont be upgrading your cpu anytime soon

 

edit: and it will certainly not run your games at ultra settings with decent framerate

core i5 4460 or i5 6400 or above if possible. but i had a feeling you need mobo upgrade to your desire cpu since it has compatible cpu socket
