Hi!

I have a problem with the performance of my graphics card. I bought an ASUS Strix 960 oc 4Gb card.

my system:

CPU: FX 6100 3,3 GHz
Motherboard: Asrock 970 extreme 3
Memory: 8 Gb 1600 MHz Kingston
HDD: 500 Gb
SSD Samsung evo 750 120 Gb
PSU: FSP Hyper 500W
Graphics card: Asus Strix GTX 960 OC 4Gb
OS: Win 10 Home

So, if i play like League of Legends on high settings I have only alround 70 FPS but it's usually dropps to 30 FPS

I also have the Rise of the Tomb Raider and it's only goes on low settings like 14-45 FPS and i don't think so that a card for this price shoud do that.
I overclocked the cpu a little bit to 3,8 GHz and the FPS was a little bit better. I know the FX 6100 not a great cpu, but i saw benchmarks with the same system and there werent any problem at high settings

I saw something about energy managment in win 10 but i dont know where to find it.

Thanks for the answers

its probably a cpu bottleneck, you can check by running MSI afterburner and monitor the graph while gaming

things to monitor are GPU usage, gpu core clock, and cpu usage (individual cores)

if the cpu cores are near 80~100%, while the gpu is not pinned at 99%, it's cpu bottleneck

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

The best thing you could probably do for now is tweak your graphics settings for lower cpu usage, and continuing to monitor your cpu usage during games (also, make sure nothing else is eating up your cpu in the background).  So rather than going for a default 'high settings', turn CPU intensive things, like the physics, down where it's allowed.  League of Legends may still have a hard time in the late game because it still requires a lot of calculations, but Tomb Raider you could probably get to run smoother.

Other than that, there's not much else to suggest than either attempting an overclock for some minor gains, or switching to intel.
