Panasonic LX-100 Vs G7

I am looking at buying a camera that shoots good 4k for under $800 (US). I have already limited it down to two cameras, The panasonic G7k and the Panasonic LX100. I would like help finding out which would be better for my needs. Here are the links for the two on amazon (US) if you would like for information about them.

I don't know much about phototography/ video settings, so I am looking for what has the better image quality on automatic settings. I think they both shoot 1080p at 60fps so slow motion won't be a difference. I would like a microphone input if they have them. I do want a focal ring on it if one of them has it. I will mostly be doing close ups, and action shots with this so I would like something that has a quick auto-focus.

Hopefully one of you can help me out. Thanks!

They are very similar cameras in terms of quality and capabilities,

main difference is the G7 has interchangeable lenses, the LX100 is a fixed lens

So why not do some serious research before spending money in buying a camera...

I'm not talking about researching the camera, I mean researching photo/video techniques.
