it broke, really?

so one of my cousin gave a sennheiser HD202. I've used it for about 1-2 months and right about 10 minutes ago, it doesn't make any sound. i usually do it for gaming and i always hang it. and i never throw it or abuse it. can someone hwlp me what should i do? thx  

 

***UPDATE***

i tried to plug it in my phone and it works. So.. what make the headphone doesn't work on my laptop? i'm afraid the port didnt read it but this laptop its not that old (about 1y.o) but before the headset didnt work in this laptop, windows kinda fraek out and refreshed all the app in my desktop and the on screen keyboard pop up. Maybe the software kinda freak out or something

 

***UPDATE 2***

ok guys, i don't know whats going on, i try to plug it the next day i post this and it suddenly works. Thanks for everyone who help me and give me some tips.

Does it have warranty left and do you have receipt for it? If not, lets do some digging. Wiggle cable to see if its connection issue.

not so sure, but suddenly it works on my hpone, but not on my laptop (i've edited the post, you can read the full story there)  btw, thx for info

Can you check if some other headphone work with laptop? It might be also muted or really low volume whenever you connect something.

yeah, i test it out with my old earbuds and it doesn't works, i crank the volume up to 32 (i usually use 8 on headphone) and there's no sound at all. i'm afraid that the jack has been disabled but i dont know how to check it.

mm.. yeah i test mu earbuds and it doesnt work. im afraid that windows disabled the jack but i dont know how to check it.
