Should i get a 2nd 390x now, or wait for polaris

Bajantechnician

so, im waiting for polaris "that 4k-ness)

yeah, im running 4k, and i currently have a 390x. Im wondering if I should sell it, before the new series comes out, so it retains its value, and wait until polaris comes out, and I get 1(or 2, depends on performance, as im currently rocking a 4k, 60fps monitor, or just get another 390x?

basicly, TL;DL

sell my current 390x, and wait for polaris, or get another to cfx.

(I can do 1/2/3 months without my gpu lol)

Thanks

ill have to thank mikat for introducing me to this video, too useful

btw i doubt pascal and polaris can drive 4k perfectly with just 1 gpu `-` i could be wrong

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

imo the current 300 series gpu are doing pretty well except their TDP

if you wanna CF 2x 390x, i wont have anything against it tbh, as long as you can keep them cool

and you cant block people in this forum anyway :P or can you o.O

meh if you have to spend extra cash to cool them, might as well just sell the card and get cooler running cards

performance per dollar my friend

and custom watercooling is troublesome...

mostly for astetics. heat wise, they are fine as they are now lol

760t, so its not a cramped case

i dont have a crystal ball so i dunno

but if amd wants to stay in the gpu market then it better be better

but they seem to be boasting about the efficiency not that long ago, so it should be fun to see polaris vs pascal ;)

yeah. i feel like thell be soon domination the cpu section, as they learned from their mistake with bulldozer, and etc, and are now going for more power, as intel is mostly going for effeciency, so intel wont have much performance gains.

on the contrary... not much i expect from Zen, other than it being a great value gaming processor

single thread performance wise, intel is tough to beat imo, amd took too many years off from the cpu side of things

again, we'll see how it goes upon release :P

true

zens supposed to be haswell speeds, and intel should have a max gain of approx 10% in performance, so if this trend keeps going in the direction that it is, 2 gens from now, amd will surpass intel
