My sister's laptop has been running really slow recently, so I decided to factory reset it (using the option that would reinstall the OS and delete all programs, but keep her personal files). After it reinstalled Win10 and booted back up, we tried to log in using her PIN and got the error in the photo below. account.live.com literally just redirects you to Microsoft's sign in page, and she never had another password before this one. Her Microsoft account password didn't work either, so I am thoroughly confused.  How do I fix this? Thanks.IMG_20160421_210351[1].jpg

Use the microsoft account password. Sometimes, it doesn't do that for some reason I can't remember since i always disable it.

It didn't seem to work, but maybe she had the wrong one. She left though so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

You have to switch from PIN entry mode to password entry if you haven't. I think one reason is the internet hasn't been connected yet.

LOL okay that was very strange. It was already on password entry mode, so I switched to PIN mode and entered her PIN and it worked XD.

Thanks.
