cables Cables, what do they deliver

Linus did a video some time ago about differend cables where he told us about what the cables can deliver. Sadly pizza wasn't included. I am getting some new displayport monitors becouse hdmi is getting a bit old (<opinion<) so i want to use displayport. How does it scale? And how does the multistream work. I am gonna run 3 1440p monitors on my dual gigabyte r9 390 cards (these have 3 displayports)

So basicly how many cables do i need to hook up to get the full 144hz 1440p experiance. On all 3 monitors

You will need 3 cables, one for each monitor.

Basically, DP 1.2 can support up to 4K @60Hz. MST can only support up to the maximum of the specification. So something like 4x 1080p @60Hz is the maximum for MST. You could have two 1440p monitors @60Hz with MST, but not at 144Hz.
