Does this e3 1241 v3 fit into a a normal z97 lga 1150 motherboard, it said it's a server based cpu but like... i want to use this for editing (mostly photoshop and music production) and gaming

Yep, it will work. It doesn't have an iGPU, so you'll need a dedicated GPU (assuming you do, seeing as you want to game), and some of its features won't work on Z97 boards (things like ECC RAM).

 

How much are you looking at buying it for? Have a look at the Xeon E3 1231v3 as well, it may be cheaper but performs almost exactly the same.
