Hi, I'm planning on an extremely tight build using a PS4 as my case, I've sketched up everything and it all fits  near perfectly all apart from the power supply..

I need a sub 2" psu in height  for it to fit in the case  as it is 2" itself which isn't looking overly hopeful, if anyone could help me source one or give me some modding directions  to reduce the size I would be really grateful.

If I can't find something that will fit I'm also looking into just using an external one, which would also allow me to have a bigger graphics card anyway and reduce heat which is great but not ideal for LAN party's etc..

Yeah that's really ideal, do you know much about overheating and how much they can handle?

You're not running a GPU on a Pico PSU unless it's a 750 or something with ridiculously low draw

Could I not use two? one for the Motherboard and one for the GPU?

@MrSteffG These things are designed for ultra-small rigs, but not for high-end-PCs. You could try using a molex to 6 pin adaptor, but since these things can only provide up to 200W (depending on your model), I don't think you'll have a satisfactory experience with one of these.

I woudl recommend something else like theses from HD plex the Pico units are decent but when you really push them hard can fall short, there is also a 500W version of this kind of brick or module PSU:

Yeah that's a lot better, it's just trying to find the best midpoint between size and power. The graphics card won't be overly large but will need around a 300w psu to power it.

Yeah they are definitely not for very power hunger components, there is the 500W version which may be more suited, if you don't mind thin but long PSU's flex atx unis might be something to look into.
