First of all sorry i am a bit new on this forum but I want to ask something. I built my custom pc like 2 years ago but I didn't get the performance I expect.  I have sapphire 7850. Also AMD FX8 3.5ghz 2gb RAM (I forgot the brand). This is it but my hdd is like 6 years old now it is so slow. I think it is from hdd what are your toughts please help. :) thank you

I am 100% certain that it is the HDD.  I am also willing to bet its a Maxtor.

 

The best upgrade would be spending a little on a 7200 rpm WD hardrive , or/+ a lower capacity SSD. 

 

Also buy a 2 gig stick of the same RAM and you're good to go.

 

Please vote for Donald Trump. I am out of sitcoms to watch.

When lyfe gives you HDDs, make SSDs

Bear in mind I wasnt talking about gaming performance....It was purely day to day usage of the computer, opening up files, loading times of games and that sort of thing. 

 

If you want better performance for games,

 

2 gigs of RAM is an issue here. I would suggest upgrading to 8 and check performance.  If it is still below par see if you can overclock the CPU and test it out.

 

Beyond that, i cannot really tell.
