first things first. I lied about explosions.

So a bought an msi gaming m5 a week ago. After building the system everything went well. For 5 days. Then the motherboard started giving a 00 warning and not posting or even powering any fan whatsoever. I reset the cmos, checked pins, tested psu, checked cables, breadboard booted, the lot. Then I rmaed(?) it. RMA solved the problem. For two hours, back at it again with the 00 no boot. Everything is fine with every other component except the cpu (nothing to test replacement) and psu, which I suspect (due to the fact that 00 is actually D0, failed cpu recognition [possibly cased by lack of cpu power]) has a faulty interior cable/plug wich could be stopping the power dilivery just to the cpu, as well as cutting down the PSUs maximum output.

BTW the pc failed while installing far cry 4 and playing bf4 offline, wich i would imagine would require a bit of power

To me atleast, it sounds like your system just isn't getting enough power to power everything. What is your Powersupply wattage?

Also, use this handy little calculator, it actually helped me choose the right powersupply every time.

Rock on!
