Strange PC issue

Go to solution Solved by sjoerd108,

Seems like some dirty programmed driver utility from acer that is ment to install drivers. It can be a backround program that is doing this try looking in the startup tab in taskmanager.

EDIT: just looked at this topic on superuser:

It says you should disable the startup service:

FUB_send

Hi,

I am having an issue with my computer that I hope some of the knowledgeable folks here at the forum can help me with.

The last few weeks i have noticed that once in a while a "command prompt" window briefly opens runs some lines and closes. It happens about every one or two hours and in less than a second so I can't see what the lines are. I found this quite suspicious. So i ran Malwarebytes, Windows Defender and CCleaner. Still happnens.

So next I turned on ShadowPlay and enabled the desktop recording feature and waited until it happened again. Next time it happened I saved the video. Found a frame which showed what was happening and saved that picture. It looks as follows:

cmdwindow.PNG

Now, looking at those lines i didn't get much further. Just to clarify, i have never had anything from Acer or Peckard Bell connected to or installed on my computer.

It is getting kinda annoying. Every time this pop's up it grabs the focus. If I am in a game it minimizes the game to the taskbar ruining whatever i am doing, particularly in hardcore games.

Thanks, hope someone kan help.

Windows 10

Intel Core i7 2600k

Asus Sabertooth P67

16GB RAM 1600Mhz

Gainward Phantom GTX970

Corsair Force 3 120GB SSD

Hi again and thanks for the reply.

I couldn't find a service named FUB_send.

However, this sentence put me on the right path. I recently installed a free program after a friend recommended it called "slim drivers" to keep my drivers up to date. I belive that was a mistake. Somehow through this software an Acer driver setup utility was installed:

cmdwindow2.PNG

I uninstalled it (and slim drivers) and so far it seems to have worked. Thanks for the pointers!

Nice, I hope it won't pop up again.
