I am planning on building a computer that will be used for gaming and for school work. The parts list can be found here http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/jzPmVn

I just have several questions:

1. Are the Fans that come with the case any good, or should I buy fans? If it is better to get aftermarket fans any suggestions for a white fan so I can stay with the theme

2.  Any suggestions for a white coloured fan that can go on the heat sink, or better are there any heat sinks that come with a white fan that is not too expensive?

3.  I plan to have this computer in my room so i need a wireless adapter card. Is the current card i have listed good or are there better ones for around the same price?

4.  Is the SSD a good choice or can I get a better one for roughly the same price?

5.  Any suggestions for a good monitor? I do not know which one to get and I can spend a couple hundred dollars on top of the build to get a decent monitor.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Not very good for the money at all

do you already have a PC? If so what specs, and what's your display set up?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I currently own a laptop and this will be my first build.

But what are the specs of the laptop.

So then you have no monitor?

And then what are you using your PC for? There's probably not much reason to spend that much for just a gaming PC.

Also going to depend on what games you're playing, if it's E-sports games you're going to want a 144hz display, or maybe just get one in general if you can live with a TN display

Oh sorry, the laptop specs are:

15-3230M

Gt 730m/ 2gb ddr3

6gb ram ddr3

750gb hard drive

Other than gaming not much, but I should have mentioned that I plan to spend 2000-2300 on the system. If I can get something better for cheaper I can go for it.

As for the display, as long as it look decent I am not that picky

2 x 8gb RAM is a better idea than a pair of 2x4gb kits.

120gb really isn't good enough for a SSD anymore.  Can you find something 240gb, dropping the HDD, at least temporarily, if necessary?

Wow, those latest-generation i7's are expensive.  I paid $267 Canadian for my i7-2600 back in early 2011.

Don't know about the video card, but its practically half the system cost.  Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Yeah the problem with the ram is that I wanted white ones and those where the only ones i could find. for the ssd I only plan on putting games and windows on there and not much else

I should probably add now that I want to also play on high settings at 1440k or 1080 depending on how much the monitor costs.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

You could sub in a 360 + 1080p 60hz IPS display to ya know get it sooner

but here is an ITX build, the motherboard has built in wifi, and the Nano is a pretty high end GPU, includes a 1080p 144hz Free-sync display for smooth gaming, though it might be worth it to get the i7 6700, although you are just gaming
