hello, i have an lsi 9271-8icc raid card and was wondering if the samsung 840 evo's would be a good choice to use in a raid 0 setup?

If you want benchmarks to say look how fast this is then do it... Real world results are very application specific, and often don't make a load of difference...So think about that first before you do any raid 0 setup....

I was also planning on doing this. If you are a speed freak and like to copy huge files at once, then RAID 0 will be good for you. However, keep in mind that if you are copying from/to a hard drive, you will most likely get bottlenecked.

There aren't many situations where it would be worth it to get 2 SSDs instead of one.

Also, keep in mind, if you don't have the best RAID controller, (which I'm not sure if yours is good or not) it could potentially slow down random little operations that you want to do.

I decided to just go with a single SSD and it works out perfectly for me.
