Reinstalling windows should fix it.

You can try resetting the CMOS first though.

Is this recent or is it a new install? you may want to try booting into safe mode then running a virus sweep or some general 'pc care' utilities if its recent. If its a new install then it was just a failed install and you can reinstall or its a bad, barely, but still a bad iso/disk; try a reinstall and if it happens again try a new iso. I doubt its a bios issue

Yes, you'll need to put the files you want to keep on a USB or external drive (or internal drive, if you have an extra)

You can use a bootable windows ISO on a usb, or windows install disk.

It might remember it, depending on how to do the install.

It wouldn't hurt to have it on hand though.

No, you should note all the programs you have somewhere, then correctly reinstall them after windows.

https://ninite.com/ is a great tool for common things

Keep the save files on a flash drive or something though.
