Hi guys i try to use a ampmeter and when i connect it in series the light doesnt turn on its directly from the wall so 220v and i wan't to red the amp number but i don't turn on the light and it don't show any amp. I am in alternativ current (maybe you say like that).

if your AMP meter relies on an inductor to move the needle (some old AMP meter)

then the inductor is probably putting a lot of inductance that your light isnt receiving sufficient current to light it up

 

if you wanna test the current of a high voltage signal, its best if you use one of these

they just clamp on without ever touching the circuit, and are fairly accurate and doesnt impose any changes to the original circuit

AND you dont risk connecting things wrongly and shorting yourself to death `-`
