Have you got a backup just in case things go wrong? if not I would suggest backing up first and then reset the CMOS, that will allow you to get into the UEFI/BIOS, but it will also wipe your settinsg and you will need to re-enter the settings or use default.

Whenever I press the on button on my computer it loads up the MSI screen and when it goes to the boot-up menu all there is is a flashing _, I have no idea why this is happening, I can press F11 to choose the boot-up device but I cant go into the BIOs, can someone help me?

First try turning off the power supply and then unplug the power. If this doesn't, carefully remove the CMOS battery on the motherboard. Its is a small button battery. Just take this out for a few seconds and then put it in. This will reset the bios. If this works it would probably be a good idea to update the BIOS.

Ok. Some motherboards will also have some clear cmos contacts. You will have to look up the motherboard specs to see if yours has them and if it does you will connect those two contacts using a paperclip or wire.

i would suggest resetting cmos by either removing the battery for couple seconds or short the pins for resetting cmos (look in the manual)

if that doesnt work, you can try booting with onboard graphics if your cpu/board supports it or use other gpu if you have any laying around

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Here is the manual:

https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z97S-SLI-Krait-Edition.html#down-manual

The CMOS clear is on page 1-27

Just follow the instructions on that page.

So you cannot access the bios anymore after resetting?

Are you trying to boot an SSD?

Id say the only other thing to try is to try removing the hard drives and then boot to see if it kicks you into the bios. It may be a hard drive issue.

By your first post it seemed like you were able to boot up by choosing the boot device... as I quoted above. Was just trying to help you, but now you can get stuffed.
