Ill be getting 1 of these psu's depending on the wattage I need http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DGHKK7M/?tag=pcpapi-20. I was thinking of going with this exact gpu any thoughts I have decided the 970 is just to expensive.

Im not to familiar with the 390

I would shoot for higher than 500watts for the 390.

If your current PSU is 400watts then it'll run a 970 easily.

So like a couple of days ago I posted that I am looking for a decent graphics card and a psu to support it and the results where and GTX 950 with a 500 watt psu. I was very happy with the results but yesturday I thought to myself maybe I should get the 970. Here is a link http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-3973-KR. Now my system is an aspire tc-120 with an AMD Radeon HD 8670D, which is an apu by the way. I just need to know if the 970 or 960 will also work for me. I also understand that I might need a bit more wattage. Also could this all fit in a micro-mid atx tower case.

I would also look into upgrading your CPU so there are no bottlenecks so you get maximum performance.

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700k @4.3ghz, Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7, RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB @2400mhz, GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 , Case: Corsair 300R, Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 256GB SSD, WD 1TB Black HDD, WD 2TB HDD PSU: Evga SuperNova 750 G2, Display: ASUS VG248QE @144hz, Cooling: Cooler Master V8 GTS, Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Platinum, Mouse: Logitech G502 Lightspeed, Sound: Phillips SHP9500 + VModa Boom Pro, Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
