I was considering on subscribing to tunnelbear and did the speedtest using the free trial. It used up the entire free half a gig on a single run.

Yeah i made a mistake like that...i was curious to see the speeds i was getting on the ridiculously expensive and limited data package on my phone...and in the end I was not a happy person

Nah, they're independant.
