Video Card

Go to solution Solved by Moonzy,

well just get whichever one you like best

or the cheaper one if you dont care

they're essentially the same gpu, so their performance is going to be quite identical

overclocking depends on your luck more than anything else anyway

ignore this if you're set on a 970

R9 390 offers better performance in games, especially in DX12 titles for now

so you might wanna consider about it

it's like 5~10% faster in DX11 titles

and a lot faster in DX12 (not much games are out, but its around ~1.3x the performance of a 970 for now)

edit: though you need a good processor since amd cards have higher cpu overhead as of this moment

Hey guys! I need a new GTX 970 4GB. I am not sure which one to get out of these:

Gaming-4GD GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256bit PCIE 3.0

or

Gigabyte GV-n970WF30C-4GD GTX 970 Windforce 3X PCI-E

I am a bit confused as the Gaming-4GD GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256bit PCIE 3.0 is more expensive, but I am seeing better reviews with the Gigabyte GV-n970WF30C-4GD GTX 970 Windforce 3X PCI-E .

Thanks, I picked the Gigabyte GV-n970WF30C-4GD GTX 970 Windforce 3X PCI-E

It is: L=310mm, W=129mm, H=43mm

Do you know if it will fit in a Cooler Master 5 pro?

296mm is the maximum length for a video card it can fit, unless you remove the HDD cage.  Without the cage it can fit up to 412mm length cards.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

yea it'll fit

w/ 3.5" HDD Cage

296mm/11.7inches

296mm/11.7inches

w/o 3.5" HDD Cage

412mm/16.2inches

412mm/16.2inches

so you probably have to remove the hdd cage
