New Fan for my Hyper 212

EIijah

Currently I use the Stock Fan from the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, It sometimes makes an annoying rattle, I'm sure I could kick up a fuss and get it replaced but I'd like something that's better/just as good and hopefully quieter, but I don't really know what good fans are, and don't want to spend a lot on something average. Any help would be appreciated :)

Well, I don't really know if a better fan would make your cooler quieter, but we could at least pinpoint the rattle issue.

Is the rattle coming from inside the fan rotor or is it just from vibration with the heatsink and the fan itself?

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

AFAIK the Evo uses standard 120mm fans and a universal bracket, so you could, in theory, get any 120mm fan. Make sure you get one (or even better, two) optimized for static pressure and not airflow as it's pushing against/pulling trough a heatsink. Noctua has some great, quiet ones, but the SP120 are great, too. Plus, no poop brown.

The fan it self, Had it for ages, only just started, if I whack it it stops

don't think its worth spending just as much on a fan (or near the price) as the cooler itself. but people will recommend the NF-F12 (and I've used one in the past with a 212) works well.
