No. It means it has a maximum of two channels. You can run a single stick in any of those slots.

Dual channel allows 4 sticks of RAM and you can run single stick of RAM there, but it would be recommend to run 2 or 4 sticks.

Dual channel can be run with two sticks as well.

I wouldn't say dual channel allows for 4 sticks of ram. There are plenty of mobos with dual channel capability with slots just for 2 sticks.

I didn't say you can't have 4 sticks in dual channel. I meant not all dual channel boards support 4 sticks.

Look back at your wording.

REALLY GUYS?! ._. picking threads out of each other's sentences?

Console optimisations and how they will effect you | The difference between AMD cores and Intel cores | Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage |
How much vram do you actually need? | APUs and the future of processing | Projects: SO - here

Intel i7 5820l @ with Corsair H110 | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 1600Mhz | XFX Radeon R9 290 @ 1.2Ghz | Corsair 600Q | Corsair TX650 | Probably too much corsair but meh should have had a Corsair SSD and RAM | 1.3TB HDD Space | Sennheiser HD598 | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro | Blue Snowball

There was a miswording. It's sort of like correcting "all animals are birds" to "all birds are animals".

It was sort of not a small deal. The idea was actually changed because of the miswording.
