Expected SLI performance increase (gtx960)

Hi guys,

Cutting right to the point, does someone out there have any experience with 2x gtx940 4G in SLI?

 

I currently have a single 960 in my system, the CPU being an fx-8350 @ 4.4gHz. So if i decide to go down the upgrade path of a second GPU how big of a performance increase can i expect?

are you sure your motherboard even supports SLI?

have you considered selling your 960 and instead getting r9 390X or 980?

That's exactly the answer i was expecting. Yes my motherboard (msi 970 gaming) supports both crossfire and SLI. And as up to now i've only considered selling the 960 once Pascal is out but even then, i'm not sure its worth putting a new architecture GPU into a system a CPU like the fx8350. Looking into a r9 390X or 980 is a good idea though. Will look into it.
