Nas backup plex solution

Hi I'm gonna rip all my blu Rays ~ 300 and put them into plex however I want a nas to do plex and backup my PC and laptop can anyone recommend one I was looking at synologys ds216play but some people are having issues with plex on it so any suggestions

Are you opposed to building your own? May be better than a pre built system for plex.
