$750 Gaming PC

Hi,

I am planning on building a gaming pc for about 950$ CDN (750$ US) and would like help on what parts to use.

I have planned a build already but don't know if it is good bang for the buck and Im new to PC building aswell.

I do not want a AMD CPU.

Here is the PC i planned: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/2mgmVn

Im going for a blue setup.

Any tips would help, thanks. :D

you can go for a skylake setup 6400 with a H170 or B150 board and get similar performance. It's always nice to be on a newer platforme if you are just starting out.

You could go for cheaper RAM and that gpu doesn't cut it quite well these days. Try a R9 380.
That psu is ok for the budget.

Skylake won't fit - he has an 800CAD budget minus the screen and DVD burner realistically.

i3 + R9 380 is the best he can do in terms of performance

6400 is almost the same price as the 4460 and the cheapest skylake board (H110) cost like 60-70 bucks. It should fit in the budget.

Look at the 4460 - it's more than a 380. He'd have to lose the SSD and get a worse case. Not worth the trade off.

I think the case i could down grade a little bit, i do not think it will affect to much at this budget, but still I'm pretty new to this stuff so i wouldn't know much

120gb SSD is like really small, bro. I think he can add it on later.

No problem, case is yours. I'd highly suggest keeping 2 things from my proposal - the PSU - it's a fantastic unit for that price and the GPU - it's the best value card on the market.

Compromises.

Swap the 390 for a 380x and the 4590 for a 4460, and it should be more than enough for a decent FreeSync 1080p monitor.
