Hey, I'm starting a new build based on x99.

I am waiting for pascal to be released for those that get a real hard on about being on the bleeding edge of hardware.

I just wanted to know some suggetions for solid mobos for the platform.

I want to go with an orange, black and white color scheme but the soc champion/ force overdoes it a little

so please recommend something that doesn't require painting the actual pcb

I'm fine with painting the heatsinks and I/O covers.

Preferably running running a x16/x8 PCI-e lane mode on the first and third pci-e slot and i plan to run m.2 and 2 way sli hence the lane config

I know i can depend on the LTT community to help.

You may want to consider waiting on more x99 boards and refresh boards to hit the market.  Broadwell-E is about to drop and I have seen at least one refresher x99 available already.

If you have to build it soon the Asus x99 Deluxe/USB 3.1 may fit the bill.  I use one and it a great board.  As far as color scheme, it is a black board with white accents throughout.  You could paint whatever white parts you need to orange and leave the other parts in the right locations white.
