Everyone has that one brand that they trust for anything, some even have two or 3.

But the moment you call on a brand that's not the norm, someone calls you out for it.

Here we will talk about our "Hipster Brands", brands out of the norm that We trust more than others.

For me, It's ECS. I've had many good experiences with ECS, my First GPU was an ECS 8400 GT (or was it a 9600 GT? I cant remember). ECS came to the rescue when my cheapo foxxconn motherboard died, and it's still going strong. I've seen build after build where it's been recommended by professionals.

What's your "Hipster Brand"?

On this forum? Intel for sure is hipster. Wrong place to recommend Intel CPUs, AMD wins in every test here even if the benchmark charts say otherwise.

Overally? AMD is hipster to me nowadays. What do they have nowadays? 5% share in freshly bought processors? 10%?

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

intel.... i have never had a cpu or mobo die on me

intel CPUs arnt really a "hipster brand" but the mobos are.

Intel is a great option if you just want a no-frills motherboard that just works, but everyone seems to forget they exist, I guess that's why they're shutting the motherboard branch down.

For me that would be Sony I guess. Really never had trouble with Sony products. [Lately had some shitty stuff going on with my order, but that's more the retarded support's fault which shipped my order to their main warehouse in the netherlands instead of my house, and the lazy fuckers there actually had it collecting dust for a week before sending it to me (got me a free extendable battery -> 12-16h on a charge me gusta) than related to Sony products].

Got an Ultrabook, have used their Walkman MP3 players for Aeons. Like their headphones and so on and so forth ^^

How come in every thread not even remotely related to a CPU comparison you start your flaming? It's getting annoying.

I'm answering to the thread, any problems with that, officer? I'm not starting flamewar, only answering honestly to the question.

Vizio for TVs, I never see anyone buy them but they've made the best I've ever had. Then there's Bose speakers. I know Bose stands for Buy Other Sound Equipment, but I honestly haven't liked any brand more than the ones I'm using now. I did not pay full price for them, luckily.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.
