yes that is the max speed in mbytes

kk thanx have a good day man :)

Hi guys, I recently got fiber connection at my house and now I can get Gigabit connection for 40/50 chf more than my 20 megabit connection. I think its a no brainer what do you think?

ps. Isnt 20 megabit the speed of the connection? or is it the bandwith? because lets say im downloading a movie and I start downloading another one my speed goes from 2.5 mbyte/s to around 1.5 mbyte/s and 800 kbyte/s

what are you saying you pay for gigabit internet but only get 20 megabit?

and if you start downloading two movies and you pay for 20 megabit then it would be split between the two movies like 10 mbit for one and 10 mbit for the other or 5 mbit for one and 15 mbit for the other

sorry for my bad explanation I dont speak english 100% correct

no I can change my contract and get Gigabit instead of my 20 mbit for 40 Swiss francs

well im paying 135 dollars for 70 mbit internet so it sounds worth it for me to get gigabit for 115 dollars

From what you have said i think it is probably worth it but how much do you use it?

2.5MB/s is 20mbps so that is correct but it should not drop like that

well I saturate my bandwith I think pretty often. I donwload almost 24/7 Torrent and browser download and Im gaming.

there are other deals like 100 or 300 mbit but ist like 25/35 swiss francs more of what im paying now instead of 40 for gigabit

its bandwidth so if one pc is using 500 mbits when you use the internet on a second pc the max it can do is 500mbits also or 800 and 200 mbits or any combination that adds to 1000mbits

but then what is the speed? 1000/8 = 125mbyte/s
