Help finding ssid

TubsAlwaysWins

Im setting up a pfSense box and I am using a Linksys WRT1900AC as an access point. It needs a SSID to be set up. What do I use or where do I set up one?

The SSID is just the name that an access point's WiFi connection is given. Configure it on the device that is providing wireless connection. It can be pretty much anything you want.

You need to use something funny to show your neighbors how cool you are. Use something like "It Hertz When IP"

Can i do Router > switch > access point or do i need to go Router > Access point > Switch? Or does it not matter

Router > switch > ap

idk how the ports would work in the other setup let alone the firmware/software would handle it.

You can do it either way. I would go Router > Switch > AP.
