Fujifilm X-T10 Thoughts

I been looking for a camera that easier to travel with over my Nikon D90. I have been hating for a mirrorless camera but nothing has really interested me. They're either really good and really expensive or really well priced and really poor quality. I then found the Fujifilm X-T10 which was desirable and affordable compared to most of the other mirrorless cameras like Sony's A7s II. I want a camera that has a good balance between photo and video quality. I've heard a lot of good things about the photo quality of the T10 but not much of anything about the video quality. Thoughts from X-T10 owners are welcome.

Fuji mirrorless cameras are pretty good. But I wouldn't use them for video, not because of their quality.  I just don't think Fuji focuses as much on video as their rivals (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic).

I own a XT10 and am really happy with it. Fuji never really focuses on video, so if you are looking for professional levels then you might struggle. However, it with suffice for anything day to day. However, the photos it takes are fantastic, the glass they put out is superb and the straight out of the camera JPEGs are some of the best I've seen. I can't claim to have shot with Fuji for that long (just over 3 months) but I'm more than happy with it. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask :)

I'm not going to be making pro  video  just some basic stuff to go along with my GoPro videos. I appreciate your feed back though.

The X-T10 does not compete with the A7R2 etc the competition would be the A6000 (or  A6300 the beast) which I would argue is a better camera all round, especially if video is a priority!

(Fuji are nice cameras but depends on what you want)

I was looking at the A6000 and the A6300 as well as the X-T10 but I just wanted to look at all my options. Thank you for the advice though.

I've had my X-T10 since summer last year, couldn't be happier!
The glass they put out is simply amazing too, but like mentioned above, video functionality is quite limited.

I remember autofocus in video being almost useless, however after recent updates it seems to be doing a lot better (or I could just be remembering wrong)

Alright I'll take that into account. I was also looking at the G7 from Panasonic, and the A6000 from Sony.

Well my brother is actually endorsed by Fujifilm, but also works with Sony cameras, he personally loves the xt-10 for photography , but the a6000 series definitely has better video

Ok. I have lenses already but I would need to get something like a Metabones Speedbooster to adapt them.

you dont have to get the metabones or the speedbooster version, there are plenty of other adapters, even some pretty cheap ones for $50-100 that have electronics for focus/aperture etc

True but the noise performance on the A6300 is already stellar but if you have the cash then the speedbooster is great
