Yes, it does have 0db mode. Did not think it would turn the fans off at a high temp though. Its the MSI Twin Frozr

It turns the fans on after 65*C

I got an AMD R9 380 the other day, and my temps for Idle are pretty high compared to my old GTX 660.

This is after booting up windows:

Why is it so high?

I'm also only getting 25FPS on normal settings on GTA with most options turned off :(

Although I am running an i3 6100, but it was more than 25FPS on medium settings with the GTX 660.

it is far within safe but it is quite high for idle, check if your card has a 0db or 0fan mode some cards shut down their fans completely at idle but then the temps will be higher

i have a twinfrozer gtx 970 it starts the fans at 65c but if you are not comfortable you can make a custom profile in msi afterburner and set the treshhold to for example 40c why you are getting low fps i cant tell, try to see your cpu/gpu usage/temps while in game if your cpu is 100% and gpu lower you are bottlenecked by cpu. other if your gpu is 100% and still low fps there is something else wrong like to litle ram

Yeh, CPU says 97% on GTA V - just remembered lol. Either I am going to get an i5 6600K or i7 6700K. Not too sure which yet.

basicly the i5 would be enough for casual gaming but if you have the money i7 is better especialy if you are planing to render some video and stuff like that but for more cpu questions make a topic in the cpu thread
