Is this a good PC?

rm -rf

IMO there isn't such a thing as a "good PC" but ik you don't really care about that so I'll tell you what you want to here:

Its a good starting PC, however that PSU won't last you long in terms of future-proofing and reliability because its old.

With Hyper-Threading. It will perform much much better in a vast majority of games.

Oh okay, thanks. So you think it would be bad to go down to a dual core?

@BurblingBarbacoa Is the Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor better than the AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor?

definitely, but a few games are hating on dual cores currently though. and dx12 is claiming to use more than just 2-4 cores.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

There are motherboards that support ddr3 however I'm pretty sure they stress the memory controller. I would just keep the ddr3 for maybe a future secondary build or somthing. Just get some ddr4

I've found this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331822863818 and a motherboard that fits the socket.

Does this seem like a good decision?

For some gaming yeah. Done expect to pair it up with a super high end card for do editing with it. I would reccomend trying to get a i5 2500k. It fits the socket. Make sure your motherboard supports overclocking so you can squeeze some preformance out of the older chip.
