I just finished building my build and I have an i7 3770k @ 4.2GHz and a GTX 780 FTW w/ ACX. I'm replicating my buds frames and he has a GTX 770 SC w/ ACX. I'm playing BF3 and our frames are identical. My temps are normal. CPU is at about 45% Usage and My GPU is at about 50-60 degrees. Any thing I should know? Is this a problem?

You should be able to max that game out and still get above 60 fps on GTX 780 and 770's

If I'm translating this into English properly, your 780 has the same average framerate as your friend who was has a 770 in Battlefield 3?

yes, precisely

What are your frame rates (I think bf3 is capped at 200)

Well. knowing that BF3 is horribly optimized, I get from 110-160 on nosehair 32 player. Btw I have a 144Hz monitor we both do. Me and My bud have basically identical build except GPU

Post all of your specs, any overclocking you've done over and beyond the factory overclocks (if any), driver version, what you've tried so far to remedy the issue, etc.

i7 3770k @ 4.2 GHz GTX 780 FTW w/ACX 3GB 144hz monitor RM750W PSU H100i Water Cooler MSI Z77 Motherboard 8GB of ram No over and beyond over clocks past the factory overclock and I haven't tried anything because I'm not sure what it could be.

What are your and his settings

320.49

Now here it is, the 320.49 drivers are buggy as hell. Try using 314.22, or 326.80.

ya thats the thing we dont know why he isnt getting the optimal frames for a $700 gpu.

i don't get it. he can run it on max. maybe a cpu bottleneck? but less likely.
