Good Speaker setup suggestions

High there I am currently considering, getting a decent speaker set up. I mainly use my headphones (HD800 at home, Oppo PM3 on the go), but I would like to get some decent speakers. I was considering getting a pair of KEF LS50 as i found some a Japanese site for the equivalent of 800 aud (600ish usd), but unfortunately they sold before I could jump on them. I really like the ls50 but the 2000 aud (1500ish usd) price in australia is a bit out of my range. I did end up finding another pair of used KEF ls50 on yahoo auctions with a starting bid of 50,000yen (452 usd) but on of the drivers has a small dent in it.

I have also found a pair of b&w cm5 for around 800 aud (600usd also)  as well on a similar Japanese site, just wondering if that is a good price for them. I would probs have to add $200 aud of shipping on top of that cost as well.

Any other speaker suggestions in the 1k-1.5k aud (750-1130 usd) would be appreciated. Also any good value amp to go with the speakers would be appreciated as well.

I am more than happy to buy used.

Smaller speakers would be better, something like the b&w cm5 stated above would be my limit in size.

@SSLCome I can't remember the speakers you always recommend in this higher end budget.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

Maybe the Vanatoo Transparent One if the OP finds them in budget in their area. Beyond $500 I'm not any better at recommending speakers than anyone else.
