I render in Handbrake and Sony Vegas pro for an hour an my cpu is at stock 3.5Ghz.

Temperatures under load plays around 57-60 Celsius. So MAX it hits is 60.In CPU intensive games (Gta v,Dying Light etc) got the same temps.

Are my temperatures ok? Or is it better to boost my CPU fan a little and try to keep the MAX temp at 55 celsius?

Room Temperature : 22 Celsius

Dude, you're fine. No need to drop your temps further, 60 max is cool enough.

If you're formally an engineer, avoid responsibility. That's what senior engineers get paid for.
